HP Labs has a new look. On this web site and elsewhere in HP Labs communications, you'll now see an identity that reflects HP's renewed focus on its advanced research center.

HP Labs is transforming itself into an edgier, more entrepreneurial organization with a sharper focus on big ideas to address the most complex challenges facing technology customers in the next decade.

To convey this new direction, the research group has become the first organization in the company to receive its own brand (with the exception of joint ventures and acquisitions).

The new identity suggests how HP Labs expands the potential of the HP brand by harnessing the power of the world’s leading researchers, scientists, thinkers and innovators along with HP’s breadth and scale. Employing a visual play on scientific equations, the Labs logo leverages the familiar brackets of the HP Corporate logo around the word "LABShp".
