HP Labs China (HPLC), located in Beijing, was established in November, 2005. The China Lab builds on HP's long-established relationships in China, and will strengthen the partnership between HP and Chinese academia and extensive research community.
HP Labs China focuses on the web and rich content technology research and aims to turn data on the web and in organizations into valuable information. The specific research areas include data intensive computing, large scale data management, data mining, high performance computing, web structure and usage mining, content classification and clustering, information extraction, video understanding and processing.
