I put a snapshot of my 7.0 tree into
as 7.0alpha2, after fixing a few simple bugs.
It now again passes very superficial testing on Linux (x86 and IA64),
HP/UX (without PARALLEL_MARK, which is temporarily broken on HP/UX), and
on Cygwin without threads. (Win32 threads are currently broken. Other
single-threaded win32 build might also work.)
It also still does not build with the GNU build infrastructure.
(Makefile.direct does invoke a configure script, but only to build
libatomic_ops, which is part of the distribution.)
Needless to say, use with caution.
