[Gc] 6.7 or later

I updated gc.tar.gz to be a copy of 6.8.  There are some known bugs in 7.1 that were not in 6.8.  But for Windows, or if you run into problems, I would definitely go with 7.1 or later.   I'll try to get another tar file out with a recent snapshot.
