So some of the old test farm is up and running again:

Windows test boxes are still off-line, as my VirtualBox images had gone
rusty.

You will notice that I was kind of random regarding compiler and
configuration flags. I did not want to test all systems with
--enable-threads, as that would be stupid and too narrow (threadless
versions are needed for ECL on some platforms). It is for this reason that I
have not added "make check" for the atomic operations.
