Hello to all people of mailing list

i'm reading the source code of httperf (for learning etc)

by default httperf uses the select syscall with timeval struct set to 0
then
why doesn't httperf use the poll syscall wich hasn't the limit of
FD_SETSIZE??

isn't 1024 (default value on my linux-box (debian etch) without
recompiling the kernel or
glibc ) a bad limit for concurrent connections ???

can i post a patch in this mailing list to discuss about it (poll
implementation) or am i OT??

any suggestions, also in private mail, is very good for me

so long and thanks
