CALL
FOR PAPERS
In
this new era of network centric computing, a major trend of delivering
all types of IT functions as a service over the Internet is predicted
to facilitate a horizontal integration of different entities involved
in a business process. Enterprises are looking towards the model
of software as a service (SaaS) as an attractive option of reducing
hardware costs and IT management nightmare. Partner ecosystems are
already evolving around ‘on demand’ services, hosted delivery models
and online market places (such as force.com). With this changing
trend of delivering hardware, system software and applications over
Internet, enterprise applications are already being transformed
to use service-oriented architectures, emphasizing loose coupling
and high reuse. The proposed workshop will provide a forum for academic
and industry researchers to discuss issues and solution approaches
for design of such high-performance large-scale applications. Two
specific aspects of interest of this year’s workshop will be innovations
that enable or demonstrate successful use of Software-As-A-Service
and Web Service Composition.
Topics
of interest include but are not limited to the following:
·
SaaS Platforms and Frameworks
·
Web Service Composition and Mashup Creation Systems
·
Data Services Platforms
·
Interesting SOA frameworks and methodologies
·
Performance metrics and measurement strategies
·
Innovative applications for SaaS
·
Use of Semantic web technologies
·
Software architectures for reusability and rapid reconfiguration
·
Modeling Techniques
·
Data and Application Integration
·
Service discovery, composition, availability, and adaptive reconfiguration
·
Service oriented infrastructure and management
·
Case studies describing real world deployments
PAPER SUBMISSION
Authors are invited to submit original unpublished work demonstrating
innovation in the topics of interest to the workshop. Routine applications
using existing software will not be entertained. A work in progress
is also welcome. Submitted papers should not have appeared in or
be under consideration for another workshop, conference, or a journal.
Submissions will be reviewed for their technical strength,
correctness, originality, significance, quality of presentation
and relevance to the workshop.
Submitted manuscripts should be in PDF format and not exceed 10
pages. The formatting requirements are 11-point font size on 8.5
