60 University Professors Selected for HP Labs Innovation Research Awards in 2009
61 projects at 47 Institutions in 12 Countries to Receive Awards
As part of the HP Labs Innovation Research Program, an open and competitive call for proposals designed to create opportunities -- at colleges, universities and research institutes around the world -- for breakthrough collaborative research with HP, 60 professors were selected as recipients of 2009 HP Labs Innovation Research Awards.Building on the success of last year’s inaugural program, this year HP Labs has increased the number of projects it is funding. In 2008, HP Labs awarded 45 projects at 35 institutions worldwide. This year, 61 projects from 47 universities in 12 countries will receive awards, including 31 projects that will receive a second year of funding.
