The 2009 research topics for the HP Labs Innovation Research Program are summarized in the IRP Call for Proposals document, and full descriptions are available for download:
An important change from the 2008 program concerns geographic topic assignments. In 2009, all research topics will be available worldwide. Applicants from all geographies may apply to any topic that is relevant to their research interests.
Topics are grouped into the eight broad research themes below, which represent the portfolio of high-impact research currently underway at HP Labs. Brief descriptions of each theme are also included in the document.
