Biography
Anjaneyulu is the research manager and principal investigator for the Paper in the Digital Enterprise (PriDE) research project that is being carried out at HP Labs India. The aim of the project is to enable content to seamlessly cross the analog-digital divide. He was earlier Department Director of the Language Technologies and Applications department in HP Labs India where he managed research projects in the areas of handwriting recognition, speech recognition and speech synthesis.
He joined HP Labs in June 2002. Prior to joining HP Labs he was heading software development at a US based Software Company in Hyderabad for 4 years. Earlier he was the Deputy Coordinator of the Knowledge Based Computer Systems Group at the National Centre for Software Technology (NCST) in Mumbai where he worked for over 12 years.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and a Bachelor in Computer Engineering from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
Research interests
His research interests include: document analysis and recognition, artificial intelligence, web services, and eLearning.
Awards
The innovation his team carried out in the area of Security of Paper Documents - named Trusted Hardcopy was one of the finalists for the Asian Wall Street Innovation Awards in 2007 and the NASSCOM Innovation Awards in 2007.
Professional activities
He is a member of the IEEE and the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Computer Society, Bangalore Chapter.
