Biography

I am a Researcher in the Networking and Communications group of HP Labs. Before joining HP Labs, I received my Ph.D and M.S degrees in Computer Science from Duke University. I got my bachelors degree in Computer Science at ITESM in Mexico City in 2004.

Research interests

I am primarily interested in mobile and ubiquitous computing, distributed systems, power efficiency
and networking. Currently, my research lies in the intersection between cloud and
mobile computing. I am working on mechanisms to leverage available computing infrastructure,
both nearby and in the cloud to improve different factors of the mobile user experience such as performance, power consumption and ease of use.
