Biography

I joined HP Labs India in March 2008. I am working on a novel concept called Secure Print Workflows, which is a part of the HPL Project Paper in the Digital Enterprise. Prior to joining HP Labs, I undertook industrial research for novel and secure industrial control systems and high-speed telecommunication systems.

My PhD thesis work was titled, "Compliant Cryptology Protocols" and undertaken at the Information Security Institute of QUT between 1998 and 2001. In addition, I hold Graduate Diploma in Information Technology and Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Communication) degrees.

 

Research interests

I am interested in researching for novel and secure information systems with an emphasis on cryptology and communication theory. Some areas of interests have been key recovery systems, electronic auctions, electronic voting, electronic cash, and communication security systems.

Awards

  1. 2007: Four ABB Corporate Research grants.
  2. 2004: A large research grant from the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India to the Society of Electronic Transactions and Security for INR 1,00,00,000 (approximately USD 250,000 in 2004).
