Marco is a researcher in the Information and Quantum Systems Lab, focused on creating the mathematical and physical foundations for the technologies that will form a new information ecosystem aimed at revolutionizing human interaction with the earth.
Marco received a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Napoli, Italy in 2000 working on Quantum Optics. He worked as a Post-Doc at Northwestern University, University of Rome, and MIT. He joined HP labs in April 2005. He is currently working on quantum information processing, advanced sources of polarization-entangled photons, and silicon photonics interconnects. When not trying to "squeeze", "entangle" or otherwise mistreat photons Marco likes to cook and hike.
