Research Interests
I have been with HP Labs since 2000, working first on automated negotiation,
auctions and market-based control; then on biologically inspired and autonomic
computing; then in information management, on data mining and machine learning
in the context of semantic networks.
I am currently working on Predictive Analytics for IT, applying mathematical
optimisation, statistics, data mining and forecasting to the domain of
systems management and operations.
From September 2006 to March 2009 I held a Royal Society Industrial Fellowship to the
Engineering and Computer Science department at Southampton University, where
I was able to continue research into market-based control, auctions,
mechanism design and the dynamics of economic multi-agent systems.
