Packaging and distributing software in a large organization
is a collaborative process involving many organizations. In
order for the customer to receive an integrated, seamless
system, various standards have been developed to describe
nearly every aspect of software configuration and packaging.
Before building any packages with mkpkg, everyone
should read all of the guideline documentation to be sure
that the guidelines are all properly understood and followed.
