I am part of the Enterprise Systems and Software Lab (ESSL),
working in the SLIC
project. My main research focus at HP-Labs has been into the use
of statistical modeling and machine learning methods for diagnosing
and predicting enterprise system performance and behavior, with the
goal of controlling the systems.
I completed my PhD. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My PhD. work involved
characterization of semi-supervised learning of probabilistic
classifiers, applied to computer vision and human-computer
interaction. More information on my PhD work is provided in my

My research interests include:
- Statistical modeling in AI
- Semi-supervised learning for classification
- Developing and applying machine learning tools for monitoring
and controlling large scale systems.
- Multi-modal Human computer intelligent interaction
- Computer vision and pattern recognition.
