Accountable Identity Management [back to
projects page]
This R&D project is about dealing with
accountability issues in identity management. How to ensure that
enterprises are more accountable when dealing with identity and
personal information? How to provide assurance that the right things
are going to be done, when disclosing personal data, in federated
identity management context? How to provide end-users with trusted
devices and solutions to improve the management and disclosure of
their personal data?
This is a very complex problem that has wide,
transversal implications on users, organization processes and
behaviours, interaction and information flows and privacy management
aspects.
Current work has been focusing both on the
investigation/publication front as well as explicit research and
development of solutions, such as in the field of: (1) privacy
management; (2) end-users' trusted and secure policy-driven devices and solutions; (3)
sticky policies. This is work in progress.
