ange-ftp and dired do not support Novell-format directory listings.  I know of
no plans to add this support.

If working with this type of machine is important to you send a message to:

  efs-testers-request@cuckoo.hpl.hp.com

and ask to join the team of efs (ange-ftp++) beta testers.  efs and the latest
dired *do* support Novell-format directory listings.
