EFS 1.6 bug: "weird timezone" problem

To whom it may concern:

I have been using efs-ftp to interact with a giant unitree system,
i.e. a Cray with a gigantic mass storage module.

When ftping I have to supply a port number. I have used the efs-ftp
handy feature of specifying the port number with the name as in
user@machine#port: and this works great. It also works if I put the
#port after the machine name in the .netrc.

Today I was using this and marked several files for a copy. When I
executed the copy it copies one file, then gets an error that stops
the process. Here's the info about the error:
