efs and Lucid Emacs 19.10

As I see it, in order to use efs with Lucid Emacs 19.10, I have three
options:
1. Apply the supplied fixes to 19.10 and rebuild it,
2. Wait till efs works around 19.10 bugs,
3. Wait for lemacs 19.11 where the bugs are fixed.
Short term, it's (1), but long term, is # 2 a possibility?
