Dired 7.3 bug: crash on R command

Dear Dired Maintainers,

Twice today my Emacs crashed when I tried to rename (the same) file.
Is this a known problem?  Can I supply any further information?  I
have a core dump, but I presume you won't want that.  I'm running with 

(setq debug-on-error t)

but that doesn't yield much information in a crash.  Is there
something else I can set up to elicit more useful leads to the
problem?
