If you mean buffering for a number of seconds then this is not the
case here. It all happens instantaneously. What I don't understand is
why is the diconnection occurring ? Basically I'm working in emacs on
my local station doing efs/ftp accesses to remote servers, which are
still on the local net. (in fact on the same segment in the net). I
might try to set up a test case here on our different OSs, to see if
its just Irix 5.2 thats doing this.
