I have run Adrian Phillips' experiment (many copies over EFS) using
efs-1.11 and the Emacs 19.26 pretest (19.25.95) that includes
John&Karl's improved gcproing, and it did not core dump.

I never had the chance to try that same experiment with the pre-J&K
code, so I can't really be sure that it would have dumped for me, of
course.  And I have been having some Emacs core dumps, generally
during garbage collection, since I picked up these code changes.
They've been much less frequent for me than with stock 19.25: I was
dumping once or twice a day, but now I dump once or twice a week.  But
I don't think we're entirely out of the woods, yet.
