Send me a detailed description of the sequence of commands that you
need to use to establish an FTP connection with a remote host using
Kerberos. Obviously edit out any passwords in the log, but do so by
just overwriting them with XXX or some fake password. Please don't
alter the syntax of the command, or the return line from the gateway
server. I need to see exact examples of the return lines from the
server at every stage. Further, it would be better if you did this
for Kerberos "out of the box". i.e. Don't use shell script wrappers.
This way any Kerberos support will be more generally usefull.
I will then either advise you of a way to use some existing gateway
support in the soon-to-be-released efs-1.13, or write explicit
Kerberos support. Gateway support seems to be a growth industry these
days.
By the way, it's not necessary to CC your description to the list.
Just send it to me.
Anybody else with a wish for some type of gateway support should also
follow the above instructions.
