Yuck.  This falls into the category of "Oh God, how have the
Emacs maintainers screwed with this package that I love THIS
TIME?"  I haven't had this feeling much with XEmacs because the
maintainers haven't made a habit of distributing twisted and
crippled versions of other people's software.  Even though Sandy
and Andy seem OK with idea, I think that if there's going to be a
UNIX-only version of EFS distributed with XEmacs, it ought to
have a different name.
