EFS 1.15 bug: frozen emacs

To whom it may concern:

this has happened twice in 2 days. can't quite reconstruct what
happened,
but last night gscott had the same problem. clicked on something and
an unfamiliar icon appeared briefly - looked something like a piece of 
paper.

xemacs ended up frozen and the keyboard was unresponsive anywhere on
the desktop.

killing the emacs window freed things up in both cases. unfortunately
i couldn't submit this in the old xemacs window, so there won't be
much info here in the ftp buffer.
