Automated Infrastructure Lab

Develop technologies for highly automated, secure, dynamic instantiation and management of cloud computing infrastructures and services. Our two driving principles are “infinite scalability” and “security as a first-class citizen."

  • enable HP to occupy key positions in the emerging as-a-service ecosystem
  • stress and validate individual technologies in systems contexts, creating service opportunities such as an HP Labs’ cloud computing infrastructure, CloudERP, true virtual enterprises, or a consumer domain such as gaming

Research areas include service lifecycle management (service description, customization, deployment, adaptation, migration, and tear-down) and infrastructure lifecycle managing (service cell computing to enable cloud infrastructure to securely support many service instances of many different types on the same physical infrastructure).
