The set of features offered by pfmon varies depending on the
host PMU. Pfmon has a set of common features available on all PMUs and a set
of PMU specific features. First we describe the common features, then we show
the Itanium and Itanium 2 features. The documentation contains a lot of
examples on how to use the tool.
