HP Labs is the central research laboratory for Hewlett-Packard Company. Our goal is to develop cutting-edge technology for HP divisions and to develop new technologies that may lead to new business opportunities for HP.

The Mobile & Media Systems research group has openings for top PhD candidates in a number of areas. The group has 25 researchers in the areas of video and audio processing, information theory, computer graphics, computer architecture and operating systems, and communications. Our projects range from applied research and development to fundamental theoretical research. We are looking for strong PhD candidates in the areas of networking, multimedia processing, eServices, operating systems, information theory, cryptography, compression, graphics, and computer vision.
