Jena Semantic Web Toolkit
For some time researchers at HP Labs have been developing a
Java-based open source semantic web toolkit. Called Jena, it has
already achieved a leading position amongst Semantic Web
developers, and is in widespread use within the community.
HP believes that the
existence of high quality readily available Semantic Web tools
is crucial if the Semantic Web approach is to fulfil its
promise. Such toolkits would enable the development of myriad
example applications, helping to embody the Semantic Web vision
and encouraging its adoption by the industry at large and by
individuals all over the world. By making the HP toolkit open source, we hope to
encourage participation in its development by others elsewhere
in the Semantic Web community.
For Jena support, there is a tutorial and a

Joseki
Joseki is a WebAPI for the remote query and update of RDF
models. The system comprises
-
A client API providing convenient access to the update
and query operations of the RDF WebAPI protocol.
-
An RDF server, which can run embedded in an
application, as a standalone program, or as a web
application inside a suitable application server. It
provides the operations of query and update on models it
hosts.
Joseki can be obtained from the Joseki download page
on the Joseki
site in various packagings.
-
A complete system, including the Jetty webserver used
when run embedded or standalone, and the web application
WAR file. Source code, documentation and javadoc included.
This can be quite big for downloading over a modem.
-
The Joseki system, including the JAR file, source code,
documentation and javadoc. Does not include the WAR file,
the Jetty embedded web server or Jena.
-
Just the web application file, suitable for Tomcat or
Jetty
Further information on Joseki, including documentation, is
available on the joseki site.
Semantic
Portals
On completion of the SWAD-E Semantic Community Portals
project, we made the semantic portal software available as a
part of the Jena family of Semantic Web
tools. The software can be downloaded from the SWED
resources page, along with pilot thesauri and a Joseki access point
for the data.
BrownSauce RDF Browser
BrownSauce is an experimental generic RDF browser.
