Abstract: This report describes a video/multi-media system designed and implemented at the Visual Computing Department (VCD) at Hewlett-Packard Labs. The VCD Video System has been designed to serve as a research tool, supporting work in areas such as multi-media, scientific-visualization, simulation, and animation. Strong emphasis has been placed on close integration with computers to allow video generation and consumption from computer programs easily and for convenient development of applications in multi-media and presentation.
